Why you should copy and paste your bitcoin address

When sending bitcoin, it is always a best practice to copy and paste the destination address, rather than manually typing it, in order to avoid the risk of typing it wrong. Bitcoin addresses are long, and if one character is not correct, the bitcoin sent to it will be lost forever. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, and there is no way for Coinbits or anyone else to reverse them.

Even if you copy and paste a bitcoin address, it is important to visually check that the pasted address is correct. If the bitcoin address you paste differs from the address you copied, your device might be infected with a virus that changes the contents of your clipboard in order to steal your bitcoin. If you think this may be happening, stop using Coinbits and scan your device for security issues using specialized software.
